Overexpression of PaxScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4eve.eme increases the number of nuclei in DA1, DT1 and VT1 muscles, whereas VA2 is not affected.

Overexpression of PaxScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4eve.eme results in accelerated embryonic myoblast fusion in DA1 compared with wild-type.

Overexpression of PaxScer\UAS.cCa via Scer\GAL432B in the developing wing results in crumpled and blistered wings.

Flies expressing PaxScer\UAS.cCa under the control of either Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 or Scer\GAL4en-e16E are largely viable.

Expression of PaxScer\UAS.cCa in first instar larvae under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB results in lethality. Larvae die within 48 hours after heat shock, and exhibit an aberrant dentical epidermis. Overexpression of PaxScer\UAS.cCa at the late larval-pupal stages results in a pupal lethal phenotype with a few escapers. These flies survive to adulthood and exhibit extra wing veins, blistered wing, and malformed leg phenotypes.

Expression of PaxScer\UAS.cCa in the wing using Scer\GAL432B results in a highly penetrant poorly expanded and blistered wing phenotype.

Expression of PaxScer\UAS.cCa in the posterior region of the wing under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in a blistered-wing defect in this region.

Co-expression of Mp20Scer\UAS.cBa and PaxScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4eve.eme induces a strong increase in the number of muscle nuclei that is much higher than the increase resulting from the overexpression of either transgene.

Co-expression of PaxScer\UAS.cCa and mspoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4eve.eme restores the wild-type number of DA1 nuclei.

One copy of Atg1EP3193 strongly suppresses the Scer\GAL432B-driven PaxScer\UAS.cCa-induced wing blistering.

One copy of Atg1Δ3D fails to suppress the Scer\GAL432B-driven PaxScer\UAS.cCa-induced wing blistering.

Co-expression of Atg1dsRNA.Scer\UAS significantly suppresses the Scer\GAL432B-driven PaxScer\UAS.cCa-induced wing defects.

One copy of EcRW53st significantly suppresses the Scer\GAL432B-driven PaxScer\UAS.cCa-induced wing blistering.

One copy of EcR225 significantly suppresses the Scer\GAL432B-driven PaxScer\UAS.cCa-induced wing blistering.

Flies overexpressing both PaxScer\UAS.cCa and Atg1Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 show increased lethality, compared to lines overexpressing either transgene alone. Over 90% of the flies expressing both PaxScer\UAS.cCa and Atg1Scer\UAS.cCa die at pupal stages.

Flies overexpressing both PaxScer\UAS.cCa and Atg1Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E show increased lethality, compared to lines overexpressing either transgene alone.

Aristae of flies overexpressing both PaxScer\UAS.cCa and Atg1Scer\UAS.cCa driven by Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 are often missing or greatly shortened.

Expression of LIMK1Scer\UAS.cCa, cdiEP3319 or bsScer\UAS.cHa in flies expressing PaxScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL432B suppresses the blistered-wing phenotype.

The blistered wing phenotype observed in flies expressing PaxScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL432B is dominantly suppressed in a tsrk05633/+ or ssh01207/+ background.

The blistered wing phenotype observed in flies expressing PaxScer\UAS.cCa in the posterior region of the wing under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E is suppressed by co-expression of LIMK1Scer\UAS.cCa.

Comments

The blistered-wing phenotype observed in flies expressing PaxScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL432B is suppressed by co-expression of PaxdsRNA.hs.
