Expression of towScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in disorganisation of the microchaetae and stunted macrochaetae on the thorax and defects in the scutellum. A multiple wing hair phenotype is seen in the wing and the wing blade is uneven and wavy.

Expression of towScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in a multiple wing hair phenotype in the adult wing. A multiple pre-hair phenotype is seen in pupae expressing towScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, with most wing cells forming more than one F-actin bundle.

Flies expressing towScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 have extra bristles in the anterior wing margin and in the wing blade near the most distal region.

Expression of towScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev has no effect on ommatidial polarity in the eye.

Expression of towScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB using heat shock at 24 hours after puparium formation causes the formation of multiple wing hairs throughout the wing blade. These wing hairs have largely normal polarity.

The planar polarity defects seen in the eyes of animals expressing fzScer\UAS.cAa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev are enhanced by co-expression of towScer\UAS.cCa (only 26.4% of ommatidia are correctly rotated).

The multiple wing hair phenotype caused by expression of towScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB using heat shock at 24 hours after puparium formation is partially suppressed by co-expression of one of Rho1Scer\UAS.cMa, rokCAT.Scer\UAS or rokαTub84B.PW.

The multiple wing hair phenotype caused by expression of towScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB using heat shock at 24 hours after puparium formation is partially suppressed by one copy of ck13 or ck07130.

The multiple wing hair phenotype caused by expression of towScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB using heat shock at 24 hours after puparium formation is enhanced by co-expression of rokCAT-KG.Scer\UAS.

The multiple wing hair phenotype caused by expression of towScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB using heat shock at 24 hours after puparium formation is enhanced if the flies are also carrying one copy of Rho172O, rok2, sqhAX3, zip1 or zipIIX62.
