Adulthood-only expression of E2f1UAS.cNa under the control of Scer\GAL4esg.PU leads to an increase in the number of intestinal progenitors (esg-positive ISCs and EBs) and an increase in mitotic index in the adult posterior midgut epithelium.

Expressing E2f1UAS.cNa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.long does not have a major effect on retinal morphology, as compared to controls.

The expression of E2f1UAS.cNa for 3 days during larval development under the combined control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 and Gal80[ts] induces an increased DNA damage response (phospho-H2Av) in third instar larval wing discs.
